Starting Monday November 15th 2010 Mike Absalom will be exhibiting paintings of Poznań from his show Moja Polska Bransoletka in the centre of Poznań at WAGA, Stary Rynek 2, Poznań ( http://www.waga.poznan.pl/ ). The paintings will be for sale and will remain on show until December 21st, 2010.
15go listopada 2010 w galerii-restauracji WAGA w Poznaniu, Stary Rynek 2 ( http://www.waga.poznan.pl/ ) odbędzie się wystawa obrazów Mike’a Absaloma, poświęcona w całości dla miasta Poznania Wystawa obejmuje cykl malarstwa pt. „Moja Polska Bransoletka”. Obrazy można będzie obejrzeć oraz nabyć do 21go grudnia 2010.
On December 21st 2010 there will be an auction of Mike’s paintings in aid of the proposed Mike Absalom Polish-Ireland Scholarship which will take place under the auspices of Instytut Filologii Angielskiej UAM (UAM School of English) (at the Metro Restaurant, Pasażu Apollo, (under the Apollo Cinema) ul. Ratajczaka 18, Poznań. The paintings and information about them and about the painter may be viewed on line at http://mikeabsalompoland.blogspot.com/ and in Polish at http://mikeabsalompolishversion.blogspot.com/

These cold tracks dictate my destination. I am in the iron grip of Tram Man. Take me at will. I relinquish all responsibility and taste freedom. I have a woken dream to complete. (Thick impasto; rough charcoal outlines; a sombre almost monochrome depiction of a cold winter's day in Poznań.)
Zimne tory wytyczają mój kierunek. Znajduję się w żelaznym uścisku Pana Tramwaju. Zabierze mnie, dokąd chcesz. Pozbyłem się odpowiedzialności i smakuję wolność. Mam wrażenie, że przebudziłem się ze snu. (Gruby impast, nieostre kontury, wykonane węglem, bez zbędnych upiększeń, monochromatyczne odtworzenie mroźnego, zimowego dnia w Poznaniu.)
